Functional Consultant
Responsible for designing, configuring, implementing and supporting applications managed by Client Technology, notably Microsoft Dynamics, and the Client Portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Customise/configure the firm’s Microsoft Dynamics application as per business requirements and as agreed with line manager/product manager. This will likely include creation of entities, relationships, fields, forms, business process flows, workflows etc.
- Gather and document user requirements, feeding ideas and requests into product backlogs.
- Create and execute test plans as required.
- Work closely with 3rd party solution providers, ensuring solution versions are comprehensively tested, and kept up to date. Report defects/requests to 3rd parties as required.
- Provide end user support to colleagues using Microsoft Dynamics, including Investment Management, Compliance, and Marketing departments.
- Create and manage document templates in experlogix.
- Work closely with Marketing department, using Click Dimensions in context to event management, email marketing, and client surveys.
- Stay up to date with relevant new technology, providing advice and recommendations on areas where the firm can benefit.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Expert knowledge of, and at least 5 years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of related Microsoft technologies such as SQL, PowerPlatform, Office, SharePoint.
- One or more current and relevant Microsoft certifications.
Advantageous
- Degree educated.
- Experience working in Financial Services.
- Knowledge of Investment Management processes.
- Knowledge of UK Financial Regulation particularly Suitability and AML.
- Experience using Click Dimensions.
- Experience using experlogix.
- Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques.
- Experience of migrating MS Dynamics from “On Prem” to “Online”
